1. Information We Collect

To provide you with personalized date recommendations, we collect only the following information:

  • Dietary restrictions and food allergies
  • Location preferences
  • Desired date and time
  • Activity category preferences
  • Email address for updates (optional)
  • Phone number for SMS reminders (optional, opt-in only)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for:

  • Generating personalized date recommendations through our AI service
  • Improving our recommendation algorithm
  • Sending date planning updates and reminders if you opt in

3. Data Sharing and Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy:

  • We do not sell or trade your personal information. Service providers receive the information needed for the features described here.
  • When interacting with our AI service, we only transmit the necessary preference data mentioned above
  • If you opt in to SMS reminders, your phone number is shared with our messaging provider solely to deliver those reminders
  • We do not share names, contact information, or other personal identifiers with our AI service

Google Maps

Location suggestions, venue photos and travel estimates use Google Maps when available. Venue names and addresses are sent to Google to find the correct place and estimate travel between stops. Your browser connects directly to Google, which receives connection information such as your IP address. DateCraft does not request or store your device's GPS location for these features.

Opening a directions link takes you to Google Maps, where Google controls any use of your device location. Google's services are governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service.

4. Data Retention

Optional product measurement

Optional product measurement is off by default. If you allow it in Privacy choices, we record broad planning steps using only a step name, a UTC day and a reference to your existing profile. Signed-in profiles are grouped by account in aggregate reports. These records contain no contact details, preferences, locations, itinerary content, URLs, IP addresses or new device identifiers. We use no external analytics service and do not count these steps as revenue or completed dates.

Measurement pauses for requests carrying Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can turn it off and remove previous records through Privacy choices; deleting an account also removes its records. Records expire after 90 days and are cleared by the regular background dispatcher. Guest choices apply to the current browser profile and follow it if you create an account.

We retain your preferences only for as long as necessary to provide our service. You can delete your data at any time through your account settings.
